March 8 WEEKLY UPDATE: Town Halls, Meetings and Money.

March 8 WEEKLY UPDATE: Town Halls, Meetings and Money.

This was a pretty slow week, so this update shouldn’t be too strenuous a read. Things are picking up pace next week as our lunchtime Meet the Team series kicks off.

Fond Farewells:
On Thursday evening, we celebrated President Pericles Lewis’ last Town Hall during his term here at Yale NUS College. President Lewis has, over the past four years and before, contributed a lot to the foundation and growth of this college. His efforts have shaped the college into what it is today. Our thanks go out to him, and everyone who attended.

Party with the President and Berries with Bridges: Cendana anteroom, 12-1pm, Thursday 16 March.

Meeting Minutes:
Judiciary Report: Has been released.
Student Orgs: Budget allocation is continuing.
Constitution amendment: Has passed. This amendment primarily a) changes the Director of Budget to Director of Finance; b) decreases the amount of reports released by the Director; c) creates a Finance Committee to help the Director manage budgeting, resolutions, reports and advice, which must give approval to any use of government resource.

Again, find more detail in the minutes.

All the best,

Hebe Hilhorst

Yale-NUS Student Council | Director of External Communication

Quote of the Week –
